Just out of curiosity, I've never heard much about the samba scene in NYC. Are there regular pagodes (Rio style)? It seems there are very few Cariocas in the US that play cavaquinho well that can carry an evening of pagode, ie non stop sambas old and new. Anyone have recomendations?
